Do you ever feel like you’re just going through the motions, like you’re breathing, but you’re not truly living.
Nine years ago, that was me — 85 pounds overweight, hopeless, and lost.

A few months later, after “lean” microwave dinners failed me and hours on the treadmill left me exhausted and still overweight, I was almost ready to give up. That’s when I met Tosca in the pages of Oxygen magazine.
I headed to the bookstore to pick up a copy of The Eat-Clean Diet, and rushed home to clean out my refrigerator and pantry. Go big or go home was my motto—no baby steps. I knew my life would forever be changed.
When I dove head first into the Eat-Clean lifestyle, I brought my family with me. After just a few weeks, my five-year-old daughter no longer had dark circles under her eyes or trouble focusing, and my husband was feeling healthier and more energetic than ever. I may have been the only one who was overweight, but I was definitely not the only one who had been suffering the consequences of an unhealthy diet. Today, I am now the energetic and happy mother of three healthy children who understand the principals of Eating Clean. Teaching my children by setting a positive and healthy example gives me great joy.
What I set out to learn was how to nourish my body with the right foods, and of course with Eating Clean, I did just that. But one of the greatest lessons I have learned, I also found on the pages of Tosca’s books - the importance of self-respect, self-acceptance and most importantly, self love. Without these, change is temporary. With them, the journey becomes a lifelong, whole-life transformation.

• Make yourself — especially your health and wellness — a top priority so you can give abundantly to others.
Embrace and enjoy life. Start taking care of you and begin your journey. Start a blog, a journal or photo diary to document your experience. Sharing your journey with others will bring purpose, joy and fulfillment to your life. To be inspired is wonderful - to inspire is life changing.
