Setting up a home gym can be an excellent way to tackle your fitness goals. It can also be relatively inexpensive if you stick to the basics. Check out the post I did for Harlequin (Your Best Body Now). I mention the basics for an effective home gym:
- a bench
- dumb bells (of varying sizes)
- medicine balls (of different weights)
- resistance bands
- a yoga mat
- a music player
Don't forget comfy clothes, shoes, and your water bottle.
I've even seen people bringing their iPads into the gym with their favorite fitness videos and workouts of the day. This is a great idea, too.
What makes your home gym a success?
