With my head in study mode lately I find myself reaching for all of those creature comforts. I love keeping my office warm and bright with lots of natural light. I am eating lots of yummy foods that nourish my mind and body. I've been noshing on quinoa, loading up on fish oil supplements and having fish for breakfast and lunch. I've also been eating tons of leafy greens in salads and roasting lots of garlic to enjoy as a spread and also to boost my immunity. During stressful study times our bodies go into fight or flight mode and as soon as our stress decreases we get sick. I'm trying to avoid this since no one likes sickness in the summer. One thing I have been reaching for more and more is lip balm. I found this great balm by Sweet Pure Honey (hurray for another Canadian company) that nourishes without any harmful ingredients. I just love it! It even tastes great thanks to the healthy coconut oil, and there's a hint of color so I can even feel a little pretty while I cram loads of information into my head. Now, as you know, I am not endorsed by any companies, so this is just a favorite that I wanted to share with you. I also finally got some exercise in yesterday by swimming lengths in the pool for a few minutes and lifting weights with my husband. Only a 1.5 days to go until I write my midterm. Thanks for all of your encouraging notes!! Almost there!!!
P.S. Does anyone know of some fun things to do in Las Vegas while I am there for my exam? I have to be in class all day Thursday-Sunday, but it might be fun to enjoy some time out in the evening.
Mesa Grill in Caesar's Palace is amazing and has clean options as well. I hear people enjoy all the Cirque de Soliel shows which I have yet to see to my dismay.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your exams!
Ride some roller coasters!
ReplyDeleteA great show is Absinthe at Caesars Palace. We just saw it in May, and it was hilarious! Kind of like Rocky Horror mixed with Cirque. But be forewarned, it's not for the easily offended!!
