How does your Garden Grow?

Yummy Rhubarb - it's so pretty and pink!

I am so excited I got to muck around in my garden all weekend! There is nothing more rewarding than getting grubby for some good, healthy, homegrown grub. I'd love to hear how your gardens are growing. Please share your planting pictures and stories with me!

As you can see my rhubarb is ready for stewing, here is my recipe...

Reno's Stewed Rhubarb

Rhubarb is an excellent source of Vitamin C and fiber. It is also a recommended food for weight management. When sweetened rhubarb makes for a wonderful dessert or topping for your daily bowl of oats!

- 4 cups chopped Rhubarb
- 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup water
- Honey to taste

Cook the chopped rhubarb and water in a saucepan until rhubarb is soft. Add honey to sweeten. Enjoy cold or hot!

*Some rhubarb root contains more moisture than others, gage the amount of water you use based on the wetness of your root.

Have fun planting and don't forget to share your pics and stories! Share your pictures on my twitter wall or facebook fan page

  1. we just got our garden started yesterday. We are doing raised beds due to our sprinkler system which now we will use as our drip lines for the garden. I'm not sure how to share the pics or I would! Happy Gardening!
