So grateful for Angelika <3 |
Today was a test. It was raining. It was humid. It was Monday. I was cranky. I was missing Coach Rita and her deadly workouts. I was Hangry (a deadly combination of hungry and angry) and there did not appear to be a way to make anything better about this day. To make matters worse we are also packing the girls up as they get ready to leave for university and all I want to do is cry. So there has been a lot of crying today, AAAAGGGHHHH!!!
There had to be some way of interrupting the negative energy. We called our wonderful friend and yoga teacher Angelika. She came to our home and conducted a restorative yoga class because I asked her to help us re-balance ourselves. And that she did.
Thank goodness for Angelika and thanks goodness for yoga. We put the candles on, moved the furniture around and submitted ourselves to a beautiful hour of balance.
Sigghh! I feel better now. I can feel the positive energy returning. I feel recharged and I am able to see with perspective.
We have to remember that amongst all of the chaos (created or real) we can find balance, gratitude and positive feelings. So if you're feeling the grind, as the end of summer approaches, reach up for that reset button. I promise it will help!

I am so sorry for your testy day Tosca, but I too believe Yoga does bring that sense of calm and balance. I just started a couple months ago, and LOVE it. Thinking of you as your girls head off to school..I just sent my boy :( a couple weeks ago..xo
ReplyDeleteIt's all part of the grief journey, glad you had someone to call to help you through it. I am trying to figure out a way to do yoga in my small home - a 24' motorhome.

Feeling your pain, Tosca. We all experience that "negative energy" from time to time, and the key is finding what works to restore the positive balance.
DeleteGood for you and your friend who brought yoga to YOU.
That is why I keep Callanetics a part of my weekly routine. It relaxes and restores me when I need that much needed calming and balance, in addition to all its other wonderful benefits.
Hope you have a better day today.
It's truly amazing how good yoga can make you feel. Even a 20 min DVD works wonders.
