Over the Scale

Don't let a number control your success, let you control your success!

It has recently come to my attention that the scale is causing some major issues for all of you clean eaters out there. My response? I ask you, beg you, plead you to check out my latest Raise the Bar column in the February 2011 issue of Oxygen magazine. It's all about giving up the scale and why, including:

- overdosing on carrot sticks to reach my number
- daily weigh ins are for boxers and wrestlers, not you
- knowing muscle is more dense than fat meaning you may weigh more after a workout

So pick up a copy today not because I want to make a dollar, but because I want you to free yourself from that silly piece of metal and move forward on your Eat-Clean journey. Do it for your sanity, your self-esteem and, most of all, your success!!


  1. I weigh and measure once a month or even every two months. My mirror, jeans - and the way I feel tells me what I need to know.

  2. I'm trying to shed the scale! I really am.... I weighed myself last week and am trying to focus on clean eating, eating in moderation, exercising and losing 5 lbs at a time... baby steps. But, my ultimate goal is to fit back into all my clothes before summer - no matter what I weigh!

  3. Maybe I'm weird, but I like my scale. I don't obsess over it, but I like to know if I'm trending up or down and then take steps to counteract the upward trend, when necessary.

  4. I like my scale only to give me an idea of where I'm at. I know our clothes are the true indicator of if we are losing/gaining weight and I know every day our body's weight changes but I sill have to see a number :(

    I ordered the "supreme90Day" workout DVDs because it said you are a part of it (nutrition part) so I figured if you support this, it must be good :)

  5. I hate the damn thing!!! Sooooooo sick of it telling me I'M FAT TODAY or I'M FEELING GOOD TODAY or I CAN'T SEE OVER MY STOMACH TO SEE THE NUMBER TODAY!
