Day 16 of 25 Days of Giving

The giving keeps on going...

We are getting close to picking our latest winner, so don't forget to comment!

We've had a lot of snow here in Ontario of the past few days, so today I am giving the snow in my neighbor’s driveway a shovel, since I know he has a hard time doing it himself.

Can you give someone the gift of shoveling?

  1. We give the gift of shoveling to my in-laws. He has had some health issues and can't shovel or plow his driveway.

  2. I volunteered three hours of my time the other day and decorated the Post Office with Christmas decorations for my favorite Postmaster in New York. What a great feeling to do a good deed for a wonderful, supportive friend. Tis the season for giving. I'm going through a divorce and this year will be the year to give back to my friends who are there for me.

  3. I have been loving this series of yours! I definitely would be happy if one of my neighbors did that! We are new to the neighborhood and one of the blessings has been ever so nice neighbors! I plan on leaving some fresh baked cookies, wrapping paper and tape on their doorsteps to help them in their Christmas festivities. There's only 7 more houses on our street so it's very do-able! :)

  4. I shovel for others whenever I can! For me it's just another form of exercise and there are many people around me who can use a helping hand. I'm there!!

  5. Well, our snow came in went in two days and there wasn't enough snow to shovel ... but, when it is summer I do like to mow and I do that job for my husband. He works in the heat all day long while I get to stay home with the kids in a nice, cool home. So, I mow and let him come in to cool down instead. :)

  7. I am being inspired daily by your giving spirit this holiday season, Tosca. My gives are being concentrated mostly on my mom, and trying to help as much as I can after her foot surgery. I went over after work and cooked her some salmon and asparagus, enough to last her a few meals. My grandma has been making most of the meals, but she hates fish, so I went and fixed it because my mom has been wanting some. I feel like I am not able to do enough for them, but I know even little things help. I am also hoping to get my mom added onto my new gym membership that I just signed up for today. It's very close to both our houses, and when she's back on her feet, I would love to see her continue on her path to success. I know we will be able to keep each other on track.

  8. I gave my boyfriend/roomate the gift of pulling in the trashcans from the street yesterday because I knew he was sick & it's super cold here.
