Snow Storm Hold Ups & My Latest Train-Your-Butt-Off Beats

Thanks to the snow currently slamming NYC my flight was canceled. We are hoping to get out tomorrow to resume our schedule of events planned for the Big Apple. In the meantime, I am home working away like a busy little bee on the all the projects I thought I would be leaving until the weekend. Of course I will be including a monster training session into my little snow day.

Here's what I'll be grooving to to get me through (some of these are classic favorites of mine and some are suggestions from my kids who keep me as up-to-date as possible):

1. "Bust a Move" - Glee Soundtrack
2. "This is Why I’m Hot" - Mims
3. "Black Dog" - Led Zeppelin
4. "We Run This" - Missy Elliot
5. "Fergilicious" - Fergie
6. "Bad Romance" - Lady Gaga
7. "Dream On" - Aerosmith
8. "Dance Dance" - Fallout Boy
9. "Don’t Cha" - Pussycat Dolls
10. "Just Dance" - Lady Gaga
11. "Sandstorm" - Da Rude
12. "Imma Be" - Black Eyed Peas
13. "Uprising" - Muse
14. "Feel It In My Bones" - Tiesto ft. Tegan & Sara
15. "Heads Will Roll" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Are you snowed in? What are your favorite motivational songs to get you through tough workouts?

  1. Thanks for the list of music. I am always wondering what everyone else had in the "buds". I need the up beat sounds to keep me focused. And we all have to be current - so good move on "Black Eye Peas"! Thanks for all you do to keep us all motivated, encouraged and moving!

  2. I've been jammin' to these:

"If It's In My Mind, It's On My Face" - Seal
    "Amazing" - Seal
    "The Right Life" - Seal
    "Just Like Before" - Seal
    "Not Exactly" - Deadmau5
    "I Remember" - Deadmau5 and Kaskade
"Move for Me" - Deadmau5 and Kaskade
"Evacuate the Dance Floor" -The song and the entire album by Cascada

I need something with a driving beat! I just loaded some new Deadmau5 songs today to update the mix.

  5. Love all the music ideas! I've been on a kick with 80s power ballads lately, but time for something new so this was perfect. :)

  6. Thanks for the list. I am always looking for new ideas. I like to have a mixture of types of tunes to run to. Right now my mix jumps from Tom Petty's "American Girl" to JayZ's "Empire State of Mind" to "Proud"-the Biggest Loser theme song.
